Job Summary

Production associates perform various tasks and routines within the Machining Line as well as the Door, Lamination, Window, and Vivace Line. They are expected to have good knowledge of products, processes and hand tools used in manufacturing of specific parts of windows and doors and will use various cutting, welding and grinding tools or machines to perform their work. The Production Associate must be fully competent in safe product handling and movement, materials identification. They are expected to have an expert level of knowledge within their own line.

Job Type / Category

This is a full time position with 8 hour shifts starting as early as 6:00 AM.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be physically able to lift between 50-80 Ibs
  • Must be comfortable with units of measure such as mm and inches (metric system)
  • Skilled with saws, cutting tools, and other hand tools
  • Answer questions about products and processes within their area of responsibility
  • Is able to explain the steps needed to complete manufacture and assembly of products in their area
  • Develops a good knowledge of related products and processes
  • Work with team members to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in the work and production process
  • Provide feedback to Line Manager regarding every issue identified
  • Cooperate with other associates when asked to help
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in all areas of responsibility
  • Set and achieve personal goals
  • Able to read and interpret specification sheets
  • Comfortable with computer applications used in the manufacture process
  • Skilled with various methods of measurement and verification
  • Completes all required reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintains department, equipment, company materials in a clean, efficient and professional manner
  • Ensure current knowledge and compliance in all safety requirements on the line and throughout the building
  • Take action if other Associates are acting in an unsafe manner
  • Follow all injury prevention policies and procedures
  • Treat all associates and customers with the respect policy in mind
