The Quality Inspector is responsible for the identification, measurement and evaluation of quality and workmanship error data.  They are expected to have excellent knowledge of internal quality specifications. Their detail orientation ensures that only quality products are released for shipment to our customers. Evaluation of their findings drives corrective actions to the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure quality control of shipped product:

  • Review and verify workmanship standards on every product produced
  • Perform routine and operational checks of all manufactured product
  • Document inspection results by completing records and logs
  • Work closely with Shipping, Receiving, and Line Supervisors to ensure all required Quality Control Checks are done in a timely manner
  • Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with all safety standards
  • Manage and divert all products that require re work out of regular line flow
  • Monitor success of corrective action
  • Assist in identifying the origin of errors

Team up with others to ensure quality satisfaction:

  • Identify errors and report to line managers to initiate correction
  • Build quality awareness with associates on their line
  • Report and recommend proper corrective and preventative actions

Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting of all issues and resolutions

  • Complete all required reports and documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain quality manuals, procedures, and SOP’s

Build skills and knowledge

  • Proactively seek knowledge on all Durabuilt’s products and services
  • Educate line associates about the quality control and resolution process

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in production as a Quality Inspector
  • Proficient in dimensional inspection techniques
  • Efficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies
  • Training knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing is a definite asset
  • Quality control certification (i.e. ISO 9001) considered a strong asset
  • Working knowledge if Microsoft Office
