At Durabuilt Windows & Doors, we are committed to delivering high-performance, durable products — and we back that promise with a comprehensive limited lifetime warranty. This warranty covers a wide range of components and materials used in the manufacturing and installation of our windows and doors, offering long-term peace of mind for homeowners and builders alike.
Window & door hardware
All Durabuilt window hardware is covered for the lifetime of the product under normal residential use. In the rare event of a hardware defect, we will provide replacement parts at no cost. Door hardware is warranted for five (5) years from the date of delivery.
Insulated glass units
For residential applications, Durabuilt’s sealed glass units are backed by a 20-year pro-rated warranty against air seal failure caused by manufacturing defects. This includes:
100% coverage within the first 10 years
50% coverage from years 11–15
25% coverage from years 16–20
Please note: Glass breakage, pressure cracks, or damage due to misuse are not covered.
Frames & structures
Durabuilt’s vinyl (PVC) frames are covered for 20 years against significant warping, discoloration, pitting, and blistering under normal environmental conditions. Our fiberglass frames are also covered for 20 years against corrosion, twisting, or splitting.
Exterior finishes
Factory-applied coatings, paints, and laminates on vinyl, aluminum, and fiberglass components are warranted for 10 years against peeling, blistering, or flaking when exposed to standard Canadian environmental conditions.
Doors
Fiberglass doors (smooth or wood grain) are covered for 10 years against warping, rusting, and splitting, provided they are finished within 90 days of delivery.
Steel doors are covered for 5 years against warpage and misalignment when properly sealed and painted.
Sliding patio doors (white vinyl) are warranted for 20 years against finishing defects like peeling or blistering. Painted vinyl patio doors and screen mesh are not included.
Installation workmanship
When your Durabuilt products are professionally installed by our team, workmanship is backed by a 20-year warranty. This covers any defects arising from the original installation, excluding general maintenance such as caulking or sealant wear.
Labour coverage
Labour for repairs or replacements is covered for:
2 years for supply-only residential products
10 years for supply-and-install renovation jobs
2 years for commercial projects
Transferability
This warranty is transferable one time to a new homeowner, provided they retain the original proof of purchase and the home is a single-family residence. In such cases, the warranty will remain valid for up to 10 years from the original delivery date.
