‍Pre-1960s inner city — Altadore, Killarney, Mount Pleasant, Renfrew, Bridgeland. Original openings are frequently out of square and original flashing details are often absent. These are usually full-frame replacements, and stucco and brick exteriors make the finishing work a real part of the scope.

‍1960s to 1980s suburbs — Braeside, Thorncliffe, Dalhousie, Acadia. Large picture windows and aluminum-framed sliders from this era are typically the worst thermal performers in the house and the most immediately worth replacing.

‍1990s to 2000s — Tuscany, Evergreen, McKenzie Towne, Coventry Hills. First-generation vinyl is reaching end of life. Sealed unit fogging and failed balances are the usual triggers, and many of these are good retrofit candidates.

‍Recent builds and new construction — Builder-grade units in homes now ten to fifteen years old, plus new construction supply.

‍Basement developments — Legal basement suites and bedroom developments require openings that meet Alberta egress requirements. If the existing opening does not qualify, the work extends to cutting concrete and a new lintel. We will tell you that before quoting, not during installation.
