MOvember 2014

The Durabuilt Dudes and their supporters have completed another successful Movember challenge, raised over $18,000 and ranking 70th nationally among participants. Thank you to all of our customers, employees and of course our participants who devoted their upper lip to a great cause!

Little Warriors Be Brave Ranch 2014

The Be Brave Ranch by Ray LaBonte and Family is a treatment centre focused solely on helping children who have been sexually abused, as well as their families. The Be Brave Ranch program (supported by Little Warriors) offers these children a place to heal and increase their chances of growing into healthy adults, and supports both the child and their families in their own environment for a full year. Durabuilt proudly donated over $50,000 in windows and doors to the project, along with an additional donation to put another child through the program. Over thirty of our team members lent their time, talent and effort to install the windows and doors.

CASA Carnival Edmonton 2014

CASA Carnival is a celebration supporting the work of CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health. CASA provides mental health assessment and treatment services for up to 195 kids in Alberta each day! Durabuilt Windows joined the cause by supporting the event by $ 5000 cocktail sponsorship and by purchasing a special artist rendering/painting of the Casa Event for $ 6700 — at Shaw Conference Centre men.

Durabuilt MOteam mans up for prostate cancer raising $33,877 2013

Proudly fundraising for the 3rd consecutive year Durabuilt MO team raised $33,877 through the month of MOvember to become the 35th team nationally out of 20,000 participating teams becoming the 1st team in Edmonton to have the highest number of members(64) in a single team; and also becoming 2nd team in Edmonton to raise highest amount of donation for fight against prostate cancer in men.

Ronald McDonald House of Red Deer 2013

Representatives from Durabuilt Windows and Doors presented a cheque in the amount of $40,000 to Ronald McDonald House® Central Alberta. This cash and in-kind donation was a significant contribution to the Capital Campaign to build the new House, which opened on February 27, 2012. “From our family to yours,” says Harry Sunner, President, “it is our sincere wish that our contribution to help build Ronald McDonald House has given sick children and their families a warm, caring and“homey” environment to rest in.” – CTV Edmonton

MOvember 2012

Moustaches were a common sight at Durabuilt and we officially declared November, MOvember across all of our branches. For our second year participating we had 61 Durabuilt Dudes and 10 Durabuilt Dudettes raising awareness and funds for men’s health. Thank you to all of our supporters, because of you we were able to raise over $26,000 for MOvember Canada and placed 52nd among 23,624 teams across Canada! We are proud of our two year total of over $42,000 and the difference it will make for Men’s Health awareness, research and support in our communities. Stay tuned for MOvember 2013!

World Partnership Golf Tournament 2012

World Partnership Golf was launched nationally in 2000 by Aga Khan Foundation Canada as a fun and engaging way for Canadians to raise funds and awareness about international development initiatives that help poor and vulnerable communities in Africa and Asia.

Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation 2012

Our General Manager, Amar Randhawa proudly raised over $7,000 this August as he ran the Canadian Derby Half Marathon in Edmonton raising funds for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. A big thank you to Durabuilt employees, associates, suppliers and friends who all helped him reach and exceed his initial goal.

Habitat for Humanity of Saskatoon 2012

Durabuilt’s Saskatoon branch has been busy donating their time and pennies in the name of a great cause. Collectively raising ten million pennies along with ReStore, Old Navy, Royal Bank, Adecco, that amount of pennies would fill a six foot by six foot, by six foot cube, be 16 km high and weigh 55,000 lb. But most importantly, ten million pennies built one home for a low income family in Saskatoon thanks to our combined support for Habitat for Humanity.

Durabuilt Windows & Doors donated over $10,000 in window and door products for the 2012 Habitat for Humanity home. The team also donated their time later this fall to complete the project
